Sunset - Room 9 News
Introducing Sunset Room 9
We are one of two Satellite classes at Sunset School. We are a class of 5 students aged between 5 and 7 years old, and three wonderful teacher aides who are dedicated to supporting students learning needs. Also supporting the needs of the tamariki are our very supportive School Psychologist, David, Speech and Language Therapist, Kelsey and our Occupational Therapist, Cian. Together we care, learn and excel and grow the student’s independence, respect, excellence and community values.
Some of our Community experiences include shopping at our local supermarkets, Bunnings and Kmart. We also participate weekly in RDA Therapy, Sensory Motor Program at our Base School and regular walks through the Tree Trust or Redwoods.
This year our overarching focus is Construction : Whaihanga, Our World : Tō Tatau Ao with Term 1 Focus being Humanoids : Iratangata. So this term we are learning more about our body and keeping it healthy. A lot of hands-on, fun, play based and exciting learning experiences is planned for 2021 in Room 9.
