Our satellite class at Selwyn School currently has 4 akonga ranging in ages from 6 to 8 years of age - James, Emmerson, Kaine and Dray.   Tamariki are support by Stacey (Kaiako) and Sam and Natalie (Kaiawhina).    

We have had a wonderful start to 2024 and the boys are all really enjoying getting out into the community while the weather is so beautiful.   The highlight of our week is a swim at All Seasons Holiday Park where we practise our swimming skills and chill out in the spa.   We also enjoy going for a hikoi in the Redwoods, visiting different playgrounds around Rotorua and visiting the Rotorua library on a regular basis.

In class, as well as working on our IEP goals, we all enjoy cooking each week,  working with Mandana (Speech Language Therapist) visiting base to play, ride bikes and do PMP with Karen (Physiotherapist) and a wide range of sensory based activities.

We are looking forward to an awesome year of successful learning with our tamariki.
