Malfroy Ruma Tekau ma Whitu 2024

My name is Matua Olly and I will be the permanent teacher in Malfroy ruma tekau ma whitu (Room 17) for 2024. I am looking forward to nurturing my students' curiosity with some fantastic art projects, where they will explore and experience their taha and te ao māori in a safe and secure environment.

We have begun constructing our first big art project, Matariki kites using a mixture of traditional and contemporary materials. We have many more meaningful learning opportunities lined up for the rest of the year including SPEC (South Pacific Educational Courses), where students complete modules and work towards an official NZQA qualification. We are beginning with a sensory module where we are exploring all things Kiwiana.
