Aorangi - Room 9

Room 9, Aorangi is a junior satellite class of RSS based at Gem Street, Western Heights. 

We have 6 students, 3 boys, 3 girls ranging in age from 8-5 years old and 3 staff. Our focus this year is NZ Histories and this term we are learning about our local Rotorua area.  We have trips out in a school van 2 days weekly for intergration and fitness activities.  These include visiting the Agrodome playground, swimming in pool at Hannah's Bay, Public Library, McDonald's playground and the Redwoods.  When in class we follow our Specialist School curriculum including Literacy and Numeracy, Art, PE and Life Skills. Specialists such as Speech Language Therapist, Physio, Occupational Therapist and Music and Maori tutors visit class weekly.  We have lots of fun and love coming to school at a supportive Primary School, Aorangi, with support from Rotorua Specialist School staff.
